Sharon Lia's powerhouse performance as a singer is an instant attraction with the opening title track "Fairytales (Now I Know)". I absolutely loved the lovely memorable composition and Sharon's breathtaking vocals. The groove is fantastic and energetic. Next up "Dance With Me" with a beautiful piano accompaniment to the vocals, is a very well-written song. The wonderful song "Not, Not Sure" has Sharon's terrific vocals working so perfectly with the piano.....I loved the chord progression in this song. Sharon's vocals are a treat to listen to! Another song I really loved in this album, "I Sit, I Stare, I Wait" is a heart-breaker for sure. The emotions in Sharon's voice is palpable and beautiful....loved it! This is an exceptionally well-produced album and the combination of Sharon Lia's voice and the piano is really marvelous. A must-listen album"

“A beautiful collection of songs that showcases Lia’s powerhouse vocals. Whether the song has a driving electronic beat (Fairytales), or a classic sultry roadhouse feel (Dancing in the Rain), Lia delivers. Fairytales is an album of great breadth with a narrative thread that connects each song and takes the listener on a journey, almost as though you were watching a movie with a soundtrack and not just listening to music. There is something dramatic and even classical about about it. On the track “Empty Castles,” for instance, Lia’s voice at times sounds almost operatic and puts one in mind of singers like Amy Lee and Kate Bush. Favorite track: Forevermore, with its stripped-down, intimate arrangement that beautifully features Lia’s powerful, soulful vocals and superb piano playing. Fairytales is a moving body of work!”
