Thanks to some updates and improvements to our Artwork API over the weekend, our spin count is now much better at detecting when a song is played on a radio station.
It is not only more accurate but now it can detect whether a song is being played on one of our licensed radio stations.
That is now the only way to influence the hit count, it must be played on one of our licensed stations.
We made these changes because we have several pages which request images from our API but aren't actually playing the song on a radio station.
We are only concerned about counting a spin if the song has actually been played.
